Hancock County Paws & Pals

4-H Dog Club

Winter classes for second year and older members will resume in February 2012.  The classes will be held on Monday, February 6th and Monday, February 20th at 6:30 pm in the Show Arena.

If you are interested in taking the Canine Good Citizen test, make sure to watch for information that will be e-mailed out after the first of the year which will contain detailed information about the testing process.

FIRST YEAR MEMBERS
Monday, March 5, 2012 at 6:30 pm will be the first night for 1st year members (1A and 1B) to attend.  We will meet in the Show Arena at the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds.  We ask that first year students and their parents come that evening WITHOUT DOGS.  We will have a lot of information to provide to you, demonstrations from older 4-H'ers, as well as paperwork that needs to be taken care of, and it will be much easier without the distractions of the dogs.

Important:  Please bring the completed vaccination form #4-H671, which must be signed by your veterinarian.  You may find this form on this website under the "Forms" tab or at the Extension Office website at: https://www.extension.purdue.edu/Hancock/4-H.htm  then scroll down to Animal Record Sheets and find 2012 Dog Vaccination Form and 2012 Dog Enrollment Form.

The March 12th and 19th classes will have the 1st year (1A and 1B) practicing with their dogs from 6:30 pm -7:30 pm.  Students in 2A and up will practice from 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm.  All classes will be held in the Show Arena at the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds.

Please note that if the outside temperature is 25 degrees or lower, classes will be cancelled.

If you have any questions or need directions to class please contact Jan Cochard at 326-3032.
